
Max Computing
Max Computing is a brand new course developed by Macmillan Education in partnership with pioneering and immersive educators, Digital Schoolhouse.
The course teaches students digital skills to prepare them for life in the 21st century. Max Computing provides play-based learning that engages and motivates students. The curriculum delivered ensures that students have sound foundations for a range of formal qualifications and future workplaces by developing six strands of computing from grades 1 to 9:
- hardware and software
- data
- algorithms
- communication and digital citizenship
- programming and robotics
- and digital skills.
Max Computing: Construct 3
A highly engaging play-based learning, 14-lesson course designed to introduce KS3 students to event-driven programming and video game mechanics.
Created by digital literacy experts Digital Schoolhouse and Macmillan Education Ltd., this course uses free-to-use Construct 3 game development software.
Students will explore:
- Algorithms
- Hardware and software
- Programming and robotics
- Communication
- Digital citizenship
- Data and digital skills
